For more than 100 years, the American Lung Association® of the Northwest has been promoting lung health. We focus our work in research, advocacy and education:

CURES

As federal funding to combat lung disease decreases, we're establishing a permanent fund to advance lung health research in the Northwest to find the causes and cures for asthma, emphysema, lung cancer and other lung diseases.

CLEAN AIR

We partner with environmental groups, community organizations and businesses to monitor air quality and reduce air pollutants. Thanks to our efforts, studies show that the air is cleaner in our communities. In addition, we've led the way in helping create powerful new smoke-free workplace laws that have dramatically improved conditions for workers throughout the Northwest.

SMOKE-FREE KIDS

The average age of kids starting to smoke in the U.S. is 12 years old. That's why we created Teens Against Tobacco Use (TATU), a peer prevention program that has seen positive results with fewer kids smoking, and Not-On-Tobacco (N-O-T), a cessation program designed for teenagers who want to stop smoking.

Seventy-five percent of the net proceeds from Clean Air Adventures fund American Lung Association® of the Northwest programs. Please help us continue to make a difference and improve life, one breath at a time.
